After-School Clubs

SPEC After School Clubs with students participating in the Lego Club and Basketball Club

In January 2026, South Park Elementary Center began offering after-school clubs to students. These interest-based clubs are led by South Park Teachers and are free to SPEC families. Space, however, is limited. In the winter of 2026, four clubs were offered. In the spring of 2026, the program will be expanded to six clubs! Learn more about available clubs below, as well as registration requirements.  The clubs run one day per week from 4-5 p.m. for six weeks. Parents/guardians are responsible for arranging transportation at the end of the club activity.

Questions? Email Mrs. Lowe (ellisen.lowe@sparksd.org) or Mrs. Zlokas (angela.zlokas@sparksd.org).

Spring 2026 Clubs

SPEC After-School Clubs for Spring 2026 will run beginning the week of April 8 and end the week of May 14. (Dates subject to change.) We're happy to expand the program to six clubs with availability for students in every SPEC grade-level. Once again, SPEC clubs are free of charge to families, but registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. In winter, nearly every club spot was reserved within minutes of the registration form opening. This spring, the registration form will open at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4, 2026. The link to the online registration form will be posted on this page on that day and at that time (6 p.m. on March 4). Registration will close when capacity is reached or on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 (whichever comes first.) A waitlist will be available once a club reaches capacity. Clubs will meet once a week (Wednesday or Thursdays) after school until 5 p.m. for six weeks beginning April 8. Families will be required to pick up their student promptly at 5 p.m.

Families who have successfully secured a spot for their child in a club will be notified via email and will be required to complete a waiver form by a stated deadline. Failure to complete the waiver form by the deadline will result in their child's spot being forfeited and offered to a student on the waitlist.

Explore the Spring 2026 club offerings below and pay particular attention to registration requirements!
